Graduate Program Objectives and Outcomes

Program Description

The objective of the graduate programs in the Department of Electrical Engineering is to provide theoretical knowledge regarding various techniques for the advancement of electrical engineering, to equip students with the skills to evaluate and design solutions in the field of Electrical Engineering, to develop students’ analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and to prepare students for industrial careers and advanced research.

Professional Profile of Graduates

Graduates of these graduate programs are expected to engage in consulting or research and development in various sectors within the field of Electrical Engineering. Graduates may work in the private or public sector as Senior Engineers or Doctor of Engineering, or they may pursue careers in academia.

 

Program Outcomes

1. Understands and applies the fundamental sciences, mathematics, and the principles of electrical engineering at an advanced level.
2. Possesses extensive and in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering, including the latest developments in the field of electrical installations.
3. Possesses advanced proficiency in the methods and skills necessary to access the latest information in the field of electrical engineering and electrical installations, comprehend it, and conduct research.
4. Electrical Engineering conducts comprehensive research that introduces innovations to the science or technology of electrical systems, develops a new scientific method or technological product/process, or applies a known method to a new field.
5. Independently identifies, designs, implements, and completes an original research process; manages this process.
6. Contributes to the scientific and technological literature by publishing the outputs of their academic work in reputable academic venues.
7. Evaluates scientific, technological, social, and cultural developments and communicates them to society with an awareness of scientific impartiality and ethical responsibility.
8. Performs critical analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of ideas and developments in their field of expertise.
9. Establishes effective written and oral communication with professionals in their field of expertise and with the broader scientific and social communities; engages in advanced written, oral, and visual communication and discussion in a foreign language at a level equivalent to at least C1 General in the European Language Portfolio.
