Electrical Engineering

Operating within the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University has been providing education to undergraduate and graduate students since 2011 with a fully renovated and fully equipped infrastructure.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The mission of the Department of Electrical Engineering is to train electrical engineers and scientists who, in line with the department’s mission and vision, can work and conduct research at the national and international levels in the fields of the design, development, protection, control, safety, and operation of electrical energy, as well as all types of electrical devices and machines powered by it; to train electrical engineers and scientists capable of working and conducting research at both the national and international levels.

With this in mind, our Department—which applies global standards in both quality and quantity in education and research and strives to further develop these standards—has continued its journey, which began in 1942 in the historic buildings of Yıldız Palace, continuing uninterrupted with the launch of doctoral programs in 1969 and its integration into the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 1992. Today, at the Davutpaşa Campus, with 869 undergraduate, 235 master’s, and 104 doctoral students, it continues on its path to train qualified engineers capable of finding solutions to national and global challenges.
